Fern Ayers, 81, 1412 N. Grant St., died Sunday morning at Bloomington Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 3, 1901, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Ann (Lindsey) Malicote. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois V. Royalty and Dean Cecelia Malicote, both of Bloomington; one niece, Marjorie Liphard of Florida; one nephew, Dennis Royalty of Aurora, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ayers and one son, Bernard Ayers.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Hill officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
