Charles Edgar (Bus) Malicoat, 86
MUNCIE - Charles Edgar "Bus" Malicoat, age 86, passed away Monday June 11, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, following an extended illness.
He was born July 16, 1920 in Tipton, Indiana to the parents of Emmett and Lela (Lawson) Malicoat and has been a resident of Muncie since 1962. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Army in WW II in the European Theater. He retired from C & X Railroad after 33 years of employment, and was a Member of Tabor Baptist Church.
He is survived by his Loving wife of 66 years, Wilma (Brown) Malicoat who were united in Marriage on May 18, 1941 at the First Baptist Church in Elwood, Indiana. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Roland (wife: Marianne) Brown of Muncie; nieces and nephews and their families in Frankfort, IN; nieces and nephews and their families in Texas and Indianapolis, IN; and cousins in Tipton, IN and Frankfort, IN; Charles will be sadly missed by his numerous family and friends in the Muncie, Anderson, Indianapolis, Frankfort, Tipton, Elwood, and Texas areas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Lela (Lawson) Malicoat; two brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday June 15, 2007 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home 4600 W. Kilgore Ave. Muncie, IN with Pastor Jim Sandberg officiating. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria, IN.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday June 14, 2007 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
