Heather Nicole Bacos,26,former New Castle resident,residing in Richmond,passed away Monday,March 12,2012,at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Hospital in Dayton,OH,after a battle with cancer. She was born May 5,1985,in Long Beach,Calif.
She was a 2003 graduated of New Castle Chrysler High School. She served six years with the United States Navy as a Corpsman and was the recipient of several military awards and recognitions. Currently,Heather was in college working on a nursing degree. She was a loving wife,mother,daughter,granddaughter,sister and was very involved in her family's activities. Heather adored all animals and had been active in 4-H,showing horses,rabbits and dogs for many years,a passion that she had worked to pass on to her own two daughters.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband,Melson Becos;two daughters,Alyssa Bacos 6,and Janelle Bacos 2;her mother,Marie Kemp Malicoat (companion Lonnie Hyatt);two sisters, Summer Malicoat and Sunshine Luzader (husband Derrick);two brothers,Chad Malicoat (wife Melissa) and Justin Malicoat (wife Danielle);her maternal grandmother,Vee Ann Boyd;her paternal grandmother,Martha Franklin (husband Harold);her father and mother-in-law,Jesse and Imelda Bacos; three aunts,Lori Catron,Sue Skene and Michelle Spicer;three uncles,Tony Catron,Tome Skene and Casey Spicer;three nieces,Adalyn Malicoat,Emma Malicoat and Harley Luzander;three nephews,Ryan Luzander,Brendan Luzander and Derek Malicoat; and eight cousins,Brooke Kemp,Alex Catron,Stacey Skene,Cindy Todd,Eric Gross,Joshua Malicoat,Ty Spicer and Sarah Spicer.
She was preceded in death by her father,Jeff Malicoat.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 17,at the First Baptist Family Life Center Church,New Castle. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday,Mar. 17,at the church with Rev. Jerry Ingalls and Pastor Paul Davis,both officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Locust Grove Church near New Lisbon.
Military Honors will be conducted by a contingent from the United States Navy and the V.F.W. and the American Legion. In lieu of flowers,memorial contributions may be directed to:The Heather Nicole Bacos Memorial Fund: "Heather's Hope" c/o Perfect Circle Credit Union,2306 S. Memorial Drive,New Castle,IN 47362. This is to assist her daughters' futures.
