Tempie attended school at Tannehill and then graduated from McAlester High School in the class of 1943. She married Dominic (Dee) Angelo Maisano on Sept. 19, 1944, in McAlester, and began her career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator. She retired when the McAlester office was closed and moved to Muskogee. She was a longtime active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, gardening flowers and vegetables and traveling. She was very active during her son's early years of activities. She passed away at a local nursing center at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ivia Martin; her husband, Dee on Jan. 30, 2010; a brother Bob Martin, and five sisters, Lois Riddle, Mayme Prescott, Faye Johnson, Betty Garman and Hazel Gardenhire. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Dee and Pam Maisano, of Oklahoma City; a granddaughter, Ashley Maisano Goodell and her husband, Nathanael, of Dallas, and a brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Betty Martin, of McAlester. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Jim Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Pallbearers include George Finamore, Nathanael Goodell, David Johnson, Michael Joe Maisano, John Paul Carano and Rudolph King. Honorary pallbearers include Oscar Martin, Steve Carano, Johnnie Maisano, James Dean Maisano and Joe Hanoute.
