Mrs. Dorothy Ann Cubitt, 70, of Poolesville, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, at her home.
She was the wife of the late John Cubitt.
Born Mary 3, 1929, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late George and Sarah Main Murray.
Mrs. Cubitt was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, the Memorial United Methodist Church Crafty Ladies, and a 45-year member of the Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are five children, Sarah Brabham and husband Henry of Virginia; Sharon Ashcraft and husband Jack of Florida; and Linda Fitzwater and husband Butch, Barbara Evans and husband Butch, and John Cubitt, Jr., all of Poolesville, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Memorial United Methodist Church, 17821 Elgin Road, Poolesville, with the Rev. Lewis McDonald officiating.
Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church Crafty Ladies, 17821 Elgin Road, Poolesville; Hospice Caring, 707 Conservation Lane, Gaithersburg, Md 20878; or to Montgomery Hospice, 1450 Research Boulevard, Rockville, Md 20850.
