Mrs. Marie Bechtel of 1009 McCullough died at 3 p.m. Monday at her home following an extended illness. She was 85.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1873 in Germany. She had been a resident of Lima for 67 years. She was the widow of Herman, who died in 1937.
There are two sons, William of 1019 N. McCullough; Harold of 1013 McCullough and three daughters, Mrs. Effie McConehey of 1009 McCullough; Mrs. Alta Zink of 141 Dewey and Mrs. Anna McClurg of 1009 Grant Street; there are 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Services will be held at Chiles and Son Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Richard Vitz officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
