BAYES, GUTHRA MAY, 103, passed away Friday, December 15, 2006 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Born November 30, 1903 in Scott County. IN, she was the daughter of Albert John and Alma Elizabeth Phillips Mahan, who preceded her in death. She was a former school teacher and a bookkeeper for the Marysville-Nabb Water Corporation and a member of the Otisco United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley White and Lana Sarver (Darrel), both of Marysville; two sons, Keith A. Bayes (Nesiamae), North Vernon, IN and Duane Bayes (Sandy), Marysville; one sister, Myrtle Lawson, Ekron, KY; two brothers, Robert Mahan (Kathryn) of Franklin, IN and Chester Mahan of Frankfort, IN; 12 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are 1p.m. Monday at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington, with burial in Beswick Cemetery. Visitation is 2 -9 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Otisco United Methodist Church.
