Gladys Magnuson went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2011 at Legends Healthcare Center.
Funeral Services have been set for Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Michael officiating. Interment will follow at Pyles Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
Gladys Magnuson was born on July 10, 1921 in Maxey, Texas the daughter of Doc and Cora Owens Mitchell. She married Eugene "Buster" Magnuson on September 4, 1941 and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2000. She was a longtime member of the Direct Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Sam Magnuson and wife Eva of Sumner, Haston Magnuson of Sumner, Ty Magnuson and wife Linda of Sumner; brothers, Bob Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell, Joe Mitchell, Buck Mitchell; sisters, Bess Mitchell Knight, Floise Mitchell Hickey; grandchildren, Rhonda Magnuson Foreman, Carol Magnuson, Sammie Magnuson, Jr., Tammy Magnuson Enloe, Rodney Daniels, Patti Johnson, Brad Blankenship and Natasha Norman; 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Benjamin Mitchell, Odie Elmer Mitchell and Roy Elton Mitchell; two sisters, Retha Mitchell Mae and Peggy Mitchell Nava; daughter-in-law, Mary Kunkel Magnuson
Serving as pallbearers will be Glen Michael, David Michael, Mitchell Nava, Kyle Mitchell, David Mitchell and Steve Lewis.
