Leona Bredenberg

      Leona Bredenberg, 98, of 100 Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
      She was born Jan. 22, 1900, in Brainerd to Thomas and Agnes Belmuth [sic] Maghan. She and her husband, Melville, owned and operated a grocery store at 13th Street and Oak in Brainerd for many years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
      Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Gallant and Joanne Dalby, both of Brainerd, five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
      Her husband, a daughter, a brother and a sister died earlier.
      Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Good Samaritan Village Chapel with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
      Friends may call at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd from 5-7 p.m. today, and Thursday at Woodland Chapel for one hour before the services. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, 18 November 1998, p. 2A, c's. 1 & 2)
