Ollie Madsen is down with the flu which he likely contacted at Gebo, where he went last week to attend the funeral services of his brother-in-law. (taken from the Lovell Chronicle, 15 Nov 1918)

Wednesday of last week Ollie Madsen died of influenza and pneumonia after a short illness. That same day his brother, Frank, came in sick from the Sidon canal ditch camp. He, with his father as attendant, was taken to the Red Cross room, where later the old gentleman came down with flu, but both are improving. (taken from the Lovell Chronicle 29 Nov 1918)
