Alaina Noell (Greer) Madrigal, 24, of Hereford, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at home with her family. She was born on Nov. 21, 1983, in Tucson, Ariz. to Lonnie and Cindy Greer.
She was raised in Sierra Vista, Ariz., and graduated from Buena High School in 2002.
She was married to Nathan Madrigal on Sept. 20, 2003, in Sahaurita, Ariz. The Navy relocated them to Virginia Beach, Va., where she was a loving and supportive military wife. In Virginia, she worked as a personal banker at Monarch Bank until last month when she returned to Tucson, Ariz., with her husband to continue her education at the University of Arizona.
Her passion for life inspired her to want to become a nurse.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing Bunko. She enjoyed traveling and was able to see many different places in her short life, including recent trips to New York City and Washington, D.C.
Her ability to see the good in everything and everyone will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
She was able to teach us all so much in such a short time.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nathan Madrigal (Lovey) of Hereford, Ariz.; her endearing parents, Lonnie and Cindy Greer of Hereford, Ariz.; her twin sissy, Alicia (Jeff) Rose of Whetstone, Ariz.; her little sister, Kayloni Greer of Sierra Vista, and her fiancÚ, Ken Viche of Haines, Alaska; her grandmother, Doris Greer of Sierra Vista; her beloved cats, Maverick and Gracie; and numerous family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her grandfather, Stanford Greer of Sierra Vista; her grandmother, Laura Halbert of Tucson, Ariz.; and her grandfather, Mark Teague of Great Falls, Mont.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who are very thankful for the time they had with her. Celebration of life services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at the New Hope Fellowship at 5420 Desert Shadows Drive in Sierra Vista. Interment will follow at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hatfield Funeral Home.
