Floyd Madison, Sr. was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to the late Henry and Mataline Madison. He was the second of three children. He attended school in Ft. Smith. He was a member of the Greater Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and was an active in many areas, some of which included: Advisor for the laymen Ministry, Member of the board of Deacons, and Chairman of the board of Trustees. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and worked for the Rheem Manufacturing Co. until his retirement. He was married to Blanche Straham Madison.
