Mildred Maddox Bragg, 80, of Huddleston, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born Monday, July 14, 1930, in Naruna, a daughter of the late Wesley Maddox and Mae Harper Maddox.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Jackson Bragg; her infant daughter, Vickie Leigh Bragg; a brother, John Winston Maddox; and a sister, Louise Maddox Connelly.
She was a retired employee of General Electric, was a member of Huddleston Community Church and attended Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her son, John Wesley Bragg, of Chesapeake; daughter, Debra Lynn Bragg, of Huddleston; two sisters, Rachel Gallup and husband, Robert, of Seattle, Wash., and Mary Ann Clark and husband, Arthur, of Lynchburg; brother-in-law, Gray Connelly, of Gladys; two sisters-in-law, Lois Bragg, of Huddleston, and Marion Bragg, of Arrington.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Bethesda United Methodist Church, with Tammy Franklin officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston
