MONTICELLO -- Services for Kimberly L. "Kim" Barnes, 33, of Burnettsville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Monticello Christian Church.
She died at 9:46 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
Born April 3, 1971, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Ralph Kent and Linda Naugle Macy. She was married June 12, 1993, in Monticello Christian Church, Monticello, to Brian D. Barnes, who survives in Burnettsville.
Kim had lived in White County all of her life.
A 1989 graduate of Twin Lakes High School, Kim received a bachelor's degree in 1993 from Purdue University, and a master's degree in 2003 from Indiana Wesleyan, Marion, both in education. Kim taught school at Hillcrest Elementary in Delphi and Eastlawn Elementary, Twin Lakes School Corporation, Burnettsville. She was a pre-school special education teacher, teaching for Logansport Joint Area Special Services Cooperative.
Kim was a member of the Monticello Christian Church, Monticello.
She was an avid quilter and loved reading books. She especially loved her boys.
Also surviving are sons, Brian Cole and Ty Evan Barnes, at home in Burnettsville; one stepdaughter, Sarah Barnes, Logansport; one stepson, Zachary "Zach" Barnes, at home in Burnettsville; her mother and stepfather, Linda and Al Hintzman, Monticello; her father, Ralph Kent Macy, Prescott, Ariz.; one sister, Lisa Kopka and her husband, Randy, Brookston; and one niece and nephew, Brittany and Nicholas "Nick" Kopka, at home in Brookston.
The Rev. Chris Dodson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, and one hour before services Wednesday in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Twin Lakes Education Foundation.
