PEARL M. KIMMELSHUE
Pearl Mackey Kimmelshue was born in Wayne County, Iowa on May 31, 1891, the eighth of 10 children of Matthew and Sarah Mackey. She passed away at the Chariton Manor in Chariton, Iowa on February 1, 1984.
She was a teacher in the country schools, taught piano for a number of years and did some Evangelistic work. She was a member of the Russell Christian Church.
On March 11, 1914, she was married to J. Curtis Latham and they established their home in Russell. Mr. Latham passed away early in 1950.
She spent several years at the Rio Grande Bible Institute in Edinburg, Texas, teaching piano and doing library work. It was there that she met and married William E. Kimmelshue in 1960. They eventually came to Russell and in July of 1976, Mr. Kimmelshue passed away.
Since December 1976, she has been at the Chariton Manor.
She is survived by one sister, Sadie Stafford of Jessup, Iowa, and a goodly number of nieces and nephews as well as friends.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 1984 at the Russell Cemetery with the Rev. Paul F. McKinley officiating. Fielding Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
