Nancy was the daughter of Solomon and Clara Sutton Mace of KY. She married John N. Anthony on July 8, 1858 in Morgan Co, MO. From this union were born seven known children: Laura Annie Stidham, James Price, Martha "Mattie" Stidham, Clara, Mary L and two unnamed infants.

Nancy's mother was Clara Sutton and her husband John's mother was Cassandra Sutton. Cassandra Sutton and Clara Sutton were sisters.

NOTE: Surname mistakenly recorded as Sutton.

Life-long Resident of Columbia--Was 92 Years Old

Mrs. Nancy Jane Anthony, 92 years old, a life-long resident of Columbia, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Stidham, two miles north of Centralia. Funeral services were held this afternoon. She was buried in the Centralia cemetery. Mrs. Anthony was born in 1842 six miles south of Columbia. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Stidham include a sister, Mrs. Georgia Ann Easley, one son, J. P. Anthony, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom live in or near Columbia.

Mrs. Nancy Jane Anthony, 92 years old, died at the home of Brown Akeman, two miles north of Centralia, Monday afternoon following a brief illness. Mrs. Anthony was born near Columbia March 4, 1842, and lived her entire life in Boone County. Her husband died sixty-one years ago. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Laura Stidham of Centralia and J. D. Anthony of near Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Edward Beasley (Easley) of near Columbia; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Akeman home Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. G. R. Timbrook. Burial was in the Centralia Cemetery.
