YORK Katherine "Kitty" Beary, 80, of Springettsbury Township, for merly of Easton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, at her home. She was the widow of Felix "Phil" Beary, to whom she had been married 54 years. She was born in Dublin, Ireland, to Patrick and Winifred MacMahon. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Kitty's life will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York, with the Rev. Joseph Tuscan OFM Cap as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday in the narthex of the church. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, is in charge of arrangements. Before moving to York in 2003, Kitty was a 20 year Pastoral Care Volunteer at the Easton Hospital and she actively represented the parish as a Board Member of Church Women United in the Lehigh Valley. She was a member of the York Springetts AARP, the WINGS group of St. Joseph Church, the Widows Support Group, 55 Plus, and the Dutchess of York Red Hat Society. She was also an active volunteer at the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry. Survivors include daughters, Susan Coates of Springettsbury, Monica Beary of Alameda, Calif., Loretta Brady of Phoenixville, and Maureen Beary of Hockessin, Del.; sons, Andrew Beary of Charlotte, N.C., and Brendon Beary of Great Mills, Md.; grandchildren, Claire and Evan Coates, Andrea Brady, and Tom and Natalie Beary; two dear sisters, Winifred Landry of Winchester, N.H., and Maureen Corkery of Shelter Island, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen; a sister; and a brother.
