Marie Kathryn (MacLachlan) Benton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, August 30, 2012. She was 90, born July 16, 1922 near London, Ontario, Canada to Malcolm and Blanche (Edgar) MacLachlan. She married USAF Msgt. Donald Benton in 1955. He preceded her in death. Marie's highest calling in life was to be a Registered Nurse. After 57 years of serving humanity as a nurse, she retired in 1998 at the age of 79. Marie is survived by her children, Paul Benton, Elizabeth (Gary) Wynja; grandchildren, Delaney Knight, Cherie Benton; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Katelyn, Emily, Dakota, Sadie, Esmeralda, and Mahayley. Marie lived a good, long life, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations in Marie's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
