Daughter of Fay Mabry and Gladys Cravens of the McKendree community. Delores was born in the Short Mountain community. Her parents were both natives of Arkansas. Mrs. Heathcott was a graduate of Scranton High, and was formerly employed the the nursing staff at Paris Hospital.
Delores married Gwendel Randall Heathcott on July 29, 1949, and had been a resident of Tulsa since her marriage. They are the parents of two daughters:

Funeral service for Mrs. Gwendol Heathcott, 29, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who died Tuesday afternoon, was held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the McKendree Church. Rev. Earle Cravens, retired Methodist minister of Paris officiated. Burial in McKendree Cemetery was directed by Cox Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband and two daughters of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Mabry, and her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Cravens of McKendree.
