Ben David Mutter, age 82, of Bristol, VA passed away on December 18, 21012 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and was of the Baptist Faith.


He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Mutter. Mr. Mutter is survived by:

Wife: Beulah Widner Stump Mutter

Step Daughter: Tammy McKinnon and husband Jimmy

Step Son: Jerry Leonard and wife Brenda

Four Grandchildren: Sydney McKinnon, Ezra McKinnon, Christopher Leonard, and Erika Leonard

Sisters: Orpha Reid and husband Jim, Eugenia Tatum

Several Nieces and Nephews.


A funeral service will be held 6pm Friday, December 21, 2012 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Reynolds officiating. The burial will be 11:00 am Saturday in Susong Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:00 pm prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Gardner, John Lane, Glen Widner, Zachary Hughes, Rev. Gordon Hughes, and Rev. Jimmy Phillips.


The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice Care of Bristol, Dr. Fred Greear, Friends-Wallace Widner, Dolly Armes, Larry Gardner and his wife, Denise, and Brett for their loving care and support.
