Essie Mae Jones, 68, died Monday, November 3, 1997, at Columbia Putnam Medical Center.
She had been a resident of East Palatka all of her life. She was a member of Holy Temple of God. She was very active in all the activities of her church. She was also a member of the Senior Citizen Organization and a leader in her East Palatka community.
Survivors include daughters, Annie Ruth Garner of East Palatka, Connie Davis of Daytona, Julia Harmon of Va., Sabrina Jones Kemp of Palatka; sons, Allen Mack of East Palatka, Sgt. Earl Jones of Egypt, Julius Jones, Sr. of San Mateo; brothers, Elijah Mack of Palatka, Sedrick Mack of East Palatka, Willie James Mack of New York; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10 a.m. at Holy Temple of God with Bishop Walter Camp officiating. Interment at Pattersonville Cemetery.
