Helen graduated from Van Buren High School and received many honors through her work in Property Management. She was executive secretary with Todd Tibbals Organization in Columbus for 43 years; helped build Woodcliff, Eastgate, English Village, Parklawn Manor and Holiday House Rental Communities which she managed for over 50 years; helped with the planning and sales of River Forest, Fairway Oaks, Cassidy Avenue and Westlyn Wood. Honors include, Deputy Governor, ABI Research Assn; Most Admired Woman of the Decade; Accomplishments recognized by The OSU Athletic Club; OSU Buckeye Club; OSU President's Club; OSU Hypocrist Club; served on the Board of The Ohio State University; OSU Alumni Assn; Whitehall Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the National Assn. of Fern Executives. Helen was a member of Eastview United Methodist Church and was a resident of Wesley Ridge Retirement Center.
She is survived by her great-niece, Peggy (Jay) Simmons; caregiver, Gloria Coleman; members of the Allison family, and many friends and thoughtful caregivers at Wesley Ridge.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232; Funeral Service 10am Friday at Eastview United Methodist Church, 1045 Ross Rd., Whitehall, OH 43227; entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
