Clifford M. Lyon, 96
Chester -- Clifford M. Lyon, 96, died Thursday, April 21, 2005. He was born June 19, 1908, in Georgetown, Pa.,the son of the late Abram and Mary Allison Lyon. He was a retired self - employed dairy farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Wright Lyon. He is survived by his second wife, Hazel Smith Lyon, whom he married Oct. 4, 1989; two sons, Robert Lyon of East Liverpool and Donald Lyon of Wintersville; three stepdaughters, Julie Welsh of Newell, Mary Ice of Wellsville and Angela Luke of Newell; two grandsons, Douglas Lyon of Nevada and Eric Lyon of Wintersville; nine stepgrandchildren, Jessica Welsh, Corey DeSarro, Eric DeSarro, Amber Ice, Karen Luke, Jay Luke Jr., Josh Luke, Jamie Luke and Shawna Luke; three great - grandchildren; and one stepgreat - grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home.
