Christina Frances Lyles, 66, of Flushing Queens, N.Y., died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at her residence. Christina held a Master's degree in education from Queens College, and recently retired from Adlai E. Stevenson High School, in the South Bronx. She held the position of vice principal, and her love for teaching, especially Culinary Arts, was evident when her students remained in contact with her long after graduation. She was a member of St. Columba Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn, N.Y. Christina loved her family unconditionally and was extremely generous to her friends, family, coworkers and even strangers. She was deeply passionate over animal rights and caring for her own pets, including Ginger, a rescue dog and several loving cats. Christina's love was never ending, she is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her; her father, Christopher C. Lyles; her sisters, Sarah Lyles, of New York City, N.Y., Sally Lyles Williams and husband, Robert, of Wappinger Falls, N.Y.; her nieces, Candace Renae Williams, of Stanford, Conn., and Jennifer Robyn Williams, of Wappinger Falls, N.Y.; her aunt, Mary Elizabeth Ford; her cousins, Brenda, Susan, Fred and Hikey; and a lifelong friend, Terry. In addition to her mother, Frances A. Dalton Lyles (October, 1998) and her brother, Christopher Gary Lyles, (December 31, 2009), Christina bids farewell to many other family members and countless friends. Christina will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, Christina, your work on earth is now complete. Gone, but never forgotten, we will always love you. Your loving family and friends. Christina's family will greet friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, at which time her funeral Liturgy will begin, with the Rev. Richard Kosisko, of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, as Facilitator. Committal services and interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery, Scottdale.
