Mrs. Rachel E. Brakeville, 85, Niota, Ill., died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday at Mary Davier hospital where she had been admitted Friday. For the past 13 months she had lived at the Riverview nursing home in Dallas City.

Services will be held at 2 p.m.(DST) Tuesday at the Martin funeral home with the Rev. Mary Hutson, lay pastor, First Presbyterian church, Nauvoo, officiating. Burial will be in Harris cemetery.

Mrs. Brakeville was born May 29, 1874, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Longfellow Luzader, and was married Nov. 22, 1893 at Jacksonville, Ill., Charles Brakeville. He died Aug. 27, 1950.

She was a member of the Niota Presbyterian church and had lived 41 years in Niota.

Surviving are three sons, Fred, of Dallas City, Oren of DeQueen, Ark., and Truman, of Stafford, Kan.; two daughters, Mabel Six, Niota, Ill. and Mrs. Jenny Renfrow, North Hollywood, Calif., 28 grandchildren, and over 50 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Bert and Leroy are dead.
