She was born in Gaston County on April 4, 1911, to Horace and Vangie Falls Houser.
She was a longtime member of the Waco Baptist Church, where she served as clerk.
She was also a beautician, a longtime member of the Waco Women's Club, and a retiree from Fiber Industry. She was one of the most pleasant clients during her stay at Carolina Care.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Hoyle Lutz in 1999; a son Hoyle Lutz Jr. in 1959; two brothers, William and Douglas Houser; and a sister, Linda Blanton.
Burial: Capernum Cemetery.
