Longtime Sandy resident Doris E. Lutz, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Gresham of kidney failure.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 39901 Pleasant St., in Sandy. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 S.E. Mount Scott Blvd., Portland. A visitation will be held before the funeral service.

Doris was born in Sandy to Fred and Martha Teetz. She was raised and educated in Sandy and graduated from Sandy High School in 1951. She married Charles A. Lutz on Aug. 16, 1958, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The couple moved to Cove in 1971 and returned to Sandy in 1983.

Doris was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, tole painting, gardening and golfing. She was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of Sandy; daughters, Judy Wells of Bend and Susan Lutz of Sandy; sons, Micheal Lutz and Fred Lutz, both of Sandy; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Sandy Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
