DASY was a yellow Labrador Retriever given retired Navy SEAL, Marcus Luttrell to help him cope with his history of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Her name was an acronym made up of the names of Luttrells lost SEAL brothers. Four years into her service, DASY was beaten and shot by a pair of thugs in what could only be described as a 'thrill-kill'. The killers were caught and convicted of 'cruelty to non-live stock animals', a felony. One was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,000, the other, a lesser sentence. Luttrell served DASY with the same devotion as she had served him, appearing in court making sure justice was done.

Rest in peace, Beautiful Girl.
