Lutter Voigt, Marion Avis

Marion Avis Lutter Voigt, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2004 in Sun City West, Arizona with family at her side after a nine year struggle with Alz-heimer's disease. Formerly of Appleton, Marion lived in Surprise, Arizona for the past two years. Marion was born on June 22, 1920 in Waukegan, Ill to Ruth Swanson Lutter and Roswell Lutter. She was united in marriage to Martin Henry Voigt on June 16, 1942 at First United Methodist Church, Waukegan, Ill. The couple moved to Appleton in 1946. Marion was a life member of the Appleton Jaycettes and worked for the H.C. Prange Department Store for many years. She was a talented musician and played the organ for the Appleton ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was happiest when she was playing the piano for the children's choir. Marion adored her family and friends and spent many hours entertaining at their cottage on Harris Lake. She enjoyed music, reading, every kind of animal, traveling and talking with the customers at Yarns By Design in Neenah.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Marty; her daughter Deborah (Jeff) Sage; both brothers: Miles and Roger; and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Lynn (Ronald) Busha and Denise Marie (Randy) Papke Hoyt; 11 grandchildren: Christopher, Bradley, Rebecca, Laura, Tracy, Kristen, Heather, Kyle, Brandon, Bryce, and Keaton; and 11 great-grandchildren: three forever friends; Ruth Ann and Don Page; and Pearl VonderHere.

Services will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery on June 4, at 2 p.m. with Bishop Hyatt officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow the service.
