Elizabeth L. Brown, 76, of Independence, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Reverend Robert Montgomery, pastor of the Maple Street Baptist Church of Independence, officiating.

Interment will be under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Elizabeth Louise Brown was born October 12, 1932 at Marietta, Georgia the daughter of Edward and Daisy Luster. Mrs. Brown moved to Independence where she attended school and graduated from Independence High School.

She was a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church of Independence.

She was married to Clanton Cunningham and he preceded his wife in death. She was also married to Jack Brown who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: 5 sons, Clanton Charles Cunningham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, James Cunningham of Independence, Jerry Cunningham of Topeka, Kansas, David Cunningham of St. Louis, Missouri and Donald Parker of Las Cruces, New Mexico; 4 daughters, Daisy Cunningham, Denise King and Firby Anderson all of Wichita, Kansas and Karen Bell of San Diego, California; 41 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren, and a sister, Josephine Daniel of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
