Paul Myers officiating under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home. Another memorial service was held at 3pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Plain Dealing, LA.
Mrs. Allen died Saturday, December 4, 2004 in Tyler, TX. She was born December 31, 1937 in Plain Dealing, LA. She lived in Plain Dealing, LA for 56 years before moving to Holly Lake Ranch. Mrs. Allen and her husband Curtis had lived at Holly Lake Ranch for the past 10 years. She attended the Holly Tree Chapel. Mrs. Allen was a retired school teacher, a member of the Eastern Star, and was also a counselor and assistant principal.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, A. C. Lusk, Sr. and Rachel Moses Lusk, and two brothers, Joe Sidney Lusk and A. C. Lusk, Jr.
She was survived by her husband of 45 years, Curtis Allen of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; daughter, rachel and Neil Johnston of Benton, LA; and three grandchildren, Brian Johnston, Katie Johnston, and Kyle Johnston.
