Martha L. Lamp, 102, of Winchester, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at her home.
    Mrs. Lamp was born February 10, 1906 in Bluemont, VA, the daughter of the late Alexander T. and Evelyn Young Lunsford. She married Elmer C. Lamp on January 30, 1946 in Winchester.
    Not only was she the oldest member of the First Baptist Church, her 85 plus years made her one of the longest living members, where she was a past treasurer and taught Sunday school for many of those years.
    She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Virginia Pine of Stephenson, VA; a grandson, Jay Pine of Winchester; granddaughter, Terry Dehaven of Winchester; four great-grandchildren, Lacy Hammon, Stephanie Pine, Halley Dehaven and Thomas Pine all of Winchester.
    Along with her husband Mrs. Lamp was preceded in death by her son, Thomas "Jack" Pine; three brothers, Henry Reid Lunsford, Harrison "Hershey" Lunsford and Gordon Lunsford; and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Crabill, Lucille Crummett and Evelyn Lee Michael.
    A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester with the Rev. George H. Fletcher officiating.
