Obituary for Bridget (Luney) Jordan, aged 29 (1858-1887)

Mrs. Melic Jordan died at her home near Cortland Iast Wednesday, of inflammation of the bowels. Mrs. Jordan was ill but a short time, and seemed to think from the start of her illness that she would not recover.
Her friends, however, were more hopeful, and all that they, with the best of medical skill could do, was done for the sufferer, but without avail.
Mrs. Jordan was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Luney, of this city, and was well and favorably known by most of our residents who extend sympathy to the grief-stricken husband, parents and friends. Three little children are left at very tender age, hardly old enough to realize their great loss.
The funeral was held at the Catholic church yesterday, Dr. Lightner officiating, at which was a large concourse of people, Protestant as well as Catholic to show their sympathy to the mourning family
