Idonna Astill passed away peacefully on July 3, 2008 from Natural Causes.





She was born April 4, 1930 in Salt Lake City to George and Amy Strange Lund. She married Vinal Herbert Astill on February 25, 1949 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Idonna loved her family and was the kind of mother that would go camping and spend time with them doing fun activities. She served her community by being active in scouting as a Blazer Leader. Idonna had varied interests in sewing, shopping and was a food storage guru. She was active in her church and served two missions, one in Washington and the other in Mississippi. As a mother she worked to have all of her children go to the temple, and is still working to have each generation do the same.




Donna is survived by her children, Michael, Patrick (Terri), Dennis (Shelly), Kelly (Cindy), Kevin (Kaye), Danny (Karen), Peggy (Corey) Andra, Riley (Carol), 34 grand-children 33 great-grandchildren, brother, Gayle (Lorraine) Lund, brother-in-law, Dean King. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Vinal), great-granddaughter, Peyton Ballard, sister, Virginia King, brother, Warren (Carma) Lund.





Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Lake Ridge 3rd Ward Chapel, 3151 South 7700 West, Magna. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna and from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Church prior to Services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
