Carl Olaf Lund Dies At Falmouth Corner Falmouth, Sept. 25 (Special)
Carl Olaf Lund, resident of FalmouthCorner for 34 years, died Weds. afternoon at his home after a year's illness with heart disease. He was born in Denmark Jan. 15, 1863, but came to this country at the age of 8 with his parents. He lived in Canada for a few years before moving to Maine. He was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church, which he served as a deacon for many years, and a member of the Men's Club of the church.
He is survived by his widow, who was Emilie Peterson, five sons and five daughters: Ernest, Edgar, Albert, Victor and Warren Lund of Falmouth Corner, Mrs. Royden Polley of Bangor, and Mrs. Fred Hanson and Mrs Lawrence Addison of Falmouth Corner. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, John Lund of Falmouth Corner and Christian Lund of Michigan. Mr. Minnie Nelson of Berlin, N.H., and Mrs. Peter Peterson of Green Bay, Wis.
Funeral exercises will be conducted at 2:30, daylight time, Saturday, from the Lutheran Church by the Rev. C.C. Kloth, pastor. Burial will be in the family plot in Blanchard Cemetery at West Falmouth.
