Karl Lukes Dies
Funeral services for Karl Lukes, 71, 1725 21st Ave. S., will be held from O'Connor's at 9 a.m. on Friday and at St. Ann's Cathedral at 9:15 a.m. when Requiem Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Lukes died at a local hospital Tuesday morning. He had been a Great Falls resident nearly 50 years.
He was born in Orsova, Hungary, Aug. 8, 1883, and came to Great Falls in 1905. He worked as a painter until his retirement four years ago. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Painters Union Local No. 260.
Surviving are his widow, Anna; three sons, John, Charles and William, all of Great Falls; and two brothers, Antone of Hungary and Rudolph of Great Falls.
