Mr. Luke was born in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Leonard and Bobbie Luke. He was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked with AB Beverage then the Johnson Motor Company, from which he retired. He was a member of the First Primitive Baptist Church and active in the American Legion and the Veteran of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his son, Tere L. Luke, Augusta; his daughter, Patricia L. Blankenship, Grovetown; his grandchildren and their families, Carla (Donald) Allen, Shelby, Casey and Jace; Amanda (Daniel) Jones, Taylor and Joshua; Jennifer (Michael) Crosby, Kaleigh; Julie Rogers, Tristan and Maleigh; Donna Lynn (Nick) Sanders, Isaiah, Devon and Kaylie; two sisters, Sara Hamm, Beaufort, S.C., and Betty Jones, Augusta. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Vickie Luke Rogers and a grandson Joshua Luke Brown.
