Tanny, a resident of La Mesilla, passed away following a courageous fight with cancer. She was predeceased by her father Marcelino Lujan; maternal grandparents Celia Lucero and Victoriano Padilla; paternal grandparents Jose Ignacio Lujan and Magdalena Gallegos; very special mother-in-law Carlota Lovato and sister-in-law Christella Lovato.
Tanny was survived by her husband of 23 years, Amos Lovato of La Mesilla; sons Stephen and Aaron Lovato of La Mesilla; mother Dorothy Lujan-Valdez (companion Arturo Arguello) of Wagon Mound; brother David Lujan of La Mesilla; close father-in-law Elfego Lovato Sr. of La Mesilla; brothers-in-law Jake Lovato (wife Anita) of La Villita, Elfego Lovato Jr. (wife Pat) of La Villita, Toby Lovato of Santa Fe, Philip Lovato of La Mesilla; sisters-in-law: Elsie Lovato of Las Vegas, NM, Beatrice Tapia (husband Jack) of La Mesilla, Gloria Olivas (husband Felix) of La Mesilla and many close nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Tanny was an exceptional wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband and sons and was totally devoted to her family. She home schooled her two sons from kindergarten through high school. She was very active in the local home school support group. Tanny was a dedicated and firm believer in her savior Jesus Christ. Tanny will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Services were held 16 October 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Espaņola. Burial followed at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. Pallbearers: David Lujan, Elfego Lovato III, Eric Olivas, Joshua Lovato, Timothy Tapia and Jacob Lovato.
