STEELEVILLE - Dorothy S. Luehr, 94, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, in Red Bud Nursing Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, with the Rev. Gregory J. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson's Funeral Home in Campbell Hill, and from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and then 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church or Steeleville Senior Center.
Mrs. Luehr was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill.
She was born to George and Dora Dreyer Hartmann in Campbell Hill on July 26, 1912.
She married Ross J. Luehr on June 24, 1939, in St. Louis, and he passed away Oct. 18, 1969.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and John Speith of Carbondale and Karen and Dave Tylka of Imperial, Mo.; grandchildren, Jeff Speith, Jill Speith-Fox, Stacy Tylka and Dustin Tylka; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters; two brothers; and one sister. Published in The Southern Illinoisan on 2/18/2007.
