Ora Nell Klehm, 84, widow of Willie F. Klehm, Jr., died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in Brenham Rest Home.

Born September 18, 1924 in Kenney, Tx. to Fritz and Selma (Schroeder) Ludwig, she was baptized at home, and was educated in New Wehdem area schools. She was also later confirmed in St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, and married Willie F. Klehm, Jr. in October of 1945 in the same church. Mrs. Klehm was employed as a food service worker at Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center, and also worked for Modern Cleaners and St. Jude Hospital and Trinity Medical Center in years past.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Lampe and husband Glenn; sons Larry Klehm and wife Karen, and Jimmy Klehm, all of Brenham; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edgar and Rita Klehm of Brenham, Florence Klehm of Brenham, Lillie Mae Klehm Gross of Temple and Gladys Vollert of Chappell Hill; six grandchildren, Chantel and Reynaldo Torrez, Crystal and Curtis Martin, Tish and Chad Lehmann, Justin Klehm, Jesse Klehm and Seth Klehm; and six great-grandchildren, Chase and Colton Martin, Kailey and Kristen Torrez, Aiden Klehm and Corey Lehmann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services for Ora Nell Klehm will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg with Pastor Robert Sorensen officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place at Memorial Oaks Chapel Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following grandsons and nephews: Edmond Grahmann, Lonnie Tegeler, Seth Klehm, Curtis Martin, Reynaldo Torrez, Jr., Kenneth Klehm, Ronnie Klehm and Willie Vollert, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Krotofil, Darrell Vollert, Glenn Klehm, Robert Brown, Gene Goerlitz, Ray Davis, Vernon Beck, Jesse Klehm, Justin Klehm and Chad Lehmann.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
