Charles G. Ludwig, 83, a resident of this county of 81 years, died at his home near Canton, Saturday, July 14. Mr. Ludwig was born in Adams county, January 31, 1868, a son of Adam and Charlotte Klinschmidt Ludwig. He was married to Pauline Spickart on June 22, 1904. To this union, nine children were born. One son, six sisters and a brother preceded him in death. He was a member of the Ten Mile Garnett Grange for years. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, July 17, at 2:00 in the Roberts Funeral home at LaGrange with burial in Midway Cemetery. Reverend David Sutton, pastor of the LaGrange Baptist church, was in charge of the services. Paul bearers were Paul Freeman, Charlie Hagood, Carl Mpales, Ed Leslie, W. J. McPike and Richard Farr. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Carl Feldkamp and Mrs. Art Eisenbeiss of LaGrange, Mrs. Russell Farr of Ewing, Mrs. James deWitt of Canton; four sons, Charles F. of Huntington, Missouri, James, Ralph and Julian of LaGrange, a sister Mrs. Fred Tiemann of LaGrange; and a number of grandchildren and gwo great-grandchildren.
