Keith Orion Ludwig, 64, of Quincy, died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2011) in Peoria, Ill.

He was born Nov. 22, 1946, in LaGrange, Mo., a son of James Christopher and Bonnie Logan Ludwig.

Keith served his country in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Korea and Germany before he was honorably discharged. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis "Scottie" Ludwig of Orlando, Fla., and Zeik Ludwig of Quincy; two daughters, Kristie Austin of Quincy and Andrea; seven grandchildren, Mark and Tegan Ludwig of Orlando, Bobby Harrison, Devin Austin, Zach Cookson, Jarret Cookson and Bailey Cookson, all of Quincy; three brothers, Harold Ludwig and his wife, Geneva, of La Grange, James Ludwig and his wife, Annette, of Keokuk, Iowa, and Lyle Ludwig and his wife, Nora, of Canton, Mo.; two sisters, Jane Martin and her husband, Don, of Oakwood, and Connie Otto of Quincy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Linda; and two brothers, Dennis Gene Ludwig and Rodney Ludwig.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, Mo., with the Rev. Vernon Amsler and the Rev. Kenneth Ballard conducting. Burial will be in East Midway Cemetery near LaGrange.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

MEMORIALS: American Heart Association , in care of the Davis Funeral Home, LaGrange, Mo.
