| Birth: | Oct. 29, 1915 Benton County Iowa, USA | | Death: | Dec. 25, 2012 Muncie Delaware County Indiana, USA |  Doris Elinor Haines, 97, passed away on Christmas Day at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Louella Ludden and had five sisters and four brothers. She was the wife of Paul E. Haines and they were married 53 years before his passing in 1992.
After attending Life Bible College, she moved to Muncie to held in church planting. This resulted in the beginning of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Her life was in total service to Jesus and her family. She served in many capacities for the church including leader, Sunday school teacher and pianist for over 50 years. Her service extended to area nursing homes where she played piano and read scripture. Doris was dearly loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include one sister, Lois Trull of Lake Havasu, AZ; a brother, Richard Ludden of Lakeland, FL; her children, Anita Cooper (husband-Richard), Carol Kimble (husband-Marshall), Paula Chew (husband-Pete), and Mark Haines (wife-Donna); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday or one hour prior to services on Saturday at the mortuary.
