Bennie Faye Goss Luckey was born on September 11, 1934 to the late Duncan and Victoria Goss in Gary, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Tenaha, Texas. She went on to graduate from Turner High School. She later graduated from Texas College in Tyler, Texas.

She met and married Herman Luckey. This union created 13 children. She worked for Best Western Hotels for 35 years.

She was a loving,hard working,and humorous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. On Wednesday, July 27, 2011 she departed this life at a local hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Luckey, her parents, her sisters Mary Ellen Goss and Bernice Goss Thomas, and three sons, Dwayne, Shasta, and Anthony Luckey.

She leaves behind eight daughters: Pamela Luckey, Jacqueline "Tina" Luckey, April "JoJo" Hastings, Tiffany Luckey, and Jabalia "Robin" Luckey of Corpus Christi, Texas, Hynderia "Celia" Gammon of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jeannie Price of Dallas, Texas, and Princess "Jennifer" Batts of Chicago, Illinois; two sons, Willie "Dickie" Luckey, of Dallas, Texas and Schygen Luckey of Victoria,Texas, as well as a special grandson whom she raised Patrick Luckey of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is also survived by three siblings, Billy Goss of San Diego,California, Emmett Goss and, Frances Ingram of Gary, Texas. She had 23 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A wake will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at St. Matthews Baptist Church, 1101 Waco.

Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery
