Virginia Delores Avena, 59, of Amarillo died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014.

Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in LaGrone-
Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Jose Gomez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.

Virginia was born Sept. 17, 1955, in Amarillo to Edward and Teresa Fajardo Lucero.

Survivors include a son, Timothy and wife Patricia Lucero; a daughter, Michelle Lucero; three grandsons, DeAngelo Lucero, Christopher Barbosa and Michael Barbosa; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward and wife Angie Lucero; three sisters, Sandra Cera, Patricia Lucero and Mary Lucero; and many nieces and nephews.
