Maria Alice Gabaldon, age 76, was born on December 18, 1929, went to sleep with the Angels on Sunday, January 14, 2007. Maria Alice is survived by her daughters, Mary Alice Gallegos and her husband, John and Irene Alderette and her husband, Eloy, her granddaughter, Roxanne D. Romo and her husband, Geno, great-grandchildren, Destiny, Eugene (Honey) and Jade, her brother, Prospero Lucero, sister, Cecilia Vigil and several nieces and nephews. Maria Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Roy (Gabby) Gabaldon, parents, Elvira and Damacio Lucero, brother, Herminio Lucero, sister, Mary Garcia, brothers-in-law, Alejandro Garcia and Ross Vigil and nephew, Alex Garcia. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Garcia Mortuary. Refreshments and cookies will be served following the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room. A Mass will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at San Jose de los Duranes Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Gallegos, Geno Romo, James Garcia, Anthony Vigil, Perry Cordova and Gabe Romo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eloy Alderette and Gil Gallegos.
