Topeka Daily Capital, Sunday, July 21, 1918, page 7:
Frank D. Luce,
brother of the writer, who died last Sunday afternoon and was buried the following Tuesday, was a member of Topeka Typographical union. He began work at the printing trade in Pleasanton, Kan., his home town, and afterwards worked in various places in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. He loved his chosen occupation, and his ambition was to be one of the best, but an unfortunate affliction of late prevented him from devoting himself steadily at the trade. He had a big heart and willing hands and his disappointments bore heavily on him. The forty-nine years of his life had been devoted to faithful work and kindly service. He was a consistent Christian man and a member of the Presbyterian church. He was also a member of Shawnee camp No. 2800, Modern Woodmen of America.
His immediate relatives are his mother, Mary J. Luce, and brother and sister, living at 1616 Clay street, Topeka, and another sister, Mrs. L.L. Longworth, of Benton county, Missouri.
