Wife of Well-known Author Dies at Port Wasihngton
Grace Luce Irwin, wife of Wallace Irwin, the author, and sister of Mrs. John Sinnott, of Villanova, whose death was announced yesterday, was widely known in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Irwin spent the early years of her life in San Diego and after two years study at Stanford University went to San Franisco, where she met Wallace Irwin, then a struggling writer. In 1901 they were married and shortly thereafter moved to New York City where Mr. Irwin's talents were soon rewarded with a large success. Mrs. Irwin contributed many stories to magazines and was the author of a successful book entitled "The Diary of s Show Girl", published in 1907. Her home in New York City was a gathering point for many persons well known in the field of literature, art and the stage. Mrs. John Sinnott is now at Port Washington, Long Island where Mrs. Irwin died, to attend the funeral services. The interment will be made at San Diego, California.
