THE DEATH OF MARTHA ALBURN
Clark's Hill, Feb 12, Mrs Martha Alburn, wife of Melvin Alburn, died at her home here at 11 o'clock Sunday night, death being due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Born in Clinton county, May 19, 1870, she was the daughter of Samuel and Abbie Lucas. On August 14, 1895, she married Mr Alburn. They lived for many years at Monroe, and ten years ago moved to Clark's Hill. At Monroe she was active in the U B church but transferred her membership to the Methodist church here. Her husband and a daughter, Florence, of Lafayette, survive. The funeral will be held at the ME church Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, Rev J P Alford officiating. Burial in Monroe cemetery.
