At her home, No. 1217 North Tenth street, at 12:30 o'clock today, occurred the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Lubbe, widow of the late A. J. Lubbe, once a prominent merchant of Quincy. Before her marriage, Mrs. Lubbe was Miss Elizabeth Sander.
Deceased was born at Dethmar, near Heldsheim, Hanover, Germany, March 3, 1829. She came to America in 1845, and in 1849, was married to Mr. Lubbe. Mrs. Lubbe was the mother of twelve children, and all, save one, have preceded the kind mother to the better world. The surviving child is Joseph Lubbe of this city.
Deceased leaves four grandchildren who reside here. Deceased was a consistent member of St. John's Catholic church, and is best known for her many kind Christian graces. She will be missed. Notice of the funeral will appear later.

NB: A second obituary gave Mrs. Lubbe's birthplace as "Bethmar, near Hiddesheim, Hanover." It named her four grandchildren as: Frank, Ronnie, Anna, and Albert.

The funeral of Mrs. A. J. Lubbe was attended by a very large number of friends, yesterday morning. Services were held at St. John's church, and interment was at St. Boniface cemetery.
